Lindsey Thwaites Supportive Coaching
I’m so glad you’re here.
I became a supportive learning coach out of a deep passion for helping students and young adults thrive—not just in school, but in life.
My mission is simple: to teach and empower individuals with essential skills and strategies, helping them build confidence, increase independence, and achieve long-term success.
WHO I AM
Hi, I’m Lindsey Thwaites
With over 15 years of experience teaching students on the autism spectrum, I’ve developed and implemented a specialized social skills curriculum to support their growth and success. Today, I draw on my teaching background and curriculum design expertise to coach and support young adults and children in building their executive functioning skills—helping them improve organization, time management, self-regulation, and independence in everyday life. I love watching each learner grow more confident as they start to understand their own brains and build strategies that really stick. These skills don’t just help with school—they support every part of life. And the best part? I make the process feel approachable, encouraging, and fun.
SERVICES
Two core areas of support
I offer two core areas of support—Supportive Coaching and Tutoring—each designed to help each individual thrive in their own unique way. I work with children, teens, and young adults of all abilities, including those on the autism spectrum and with learning differences, tailoring support to meet their unique strengths and needs.
Supportive Coaching focuses on building essential life and learning skills like organization, time management, and confidence, while Tutoring provides personalized academic support to strengthen understanding and boost performance. I’m here to guide and encourage every step of the way.
Supportive Coaching
Supportive Coaching sessions are all about meeting individuals where they are and helping them grow with care and intention.
One of the key areas we focus on is building executive functioning skills—the behind-the-scenes tools our brains use to stay organized, focused, and flexible. Each week, we connect for an hour broken into multiple increments based on the individual needs. This is to set goals, check in, and build skills at a comfortable pace. These sessions are tailored to the individuals’s unique needs, making sure they feel seen, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
Weekly Virtual Sessions Include:
Setting and organizing personalized goals
Targeted skill-building exercisesGoal reflection and accountability support
Consistent check-ins with unlimited email and text communication for ongoing guidance and encouragement
Bonus:
Weekly updates for families via email or phone calls
Shared Google Doc for notes, feedback, and self-monitoring
Personalized Tutoring
In addition to executive functioning coaching, I offer personalized tutoring services to support academic growth and confidence. I work with learners of all ages to build foundational skills in reading, writing, and math, while also strengthening study habits, organization, and test preparation strategies. My goal is to meet each learner where they are and help them reach their full potential through tailored, supportive instruction.
Weekly Virtual Sessions Include:
Personalized support focused on academic goals and social-emotional growth
Engaging, interactive instruction tailored to each learner’s needs
Consistent communication and progress updates for families
Bonus:
Weekly updates for families via email or phone calls
Shared Google Doc for notes, feedback, and self-monitoring

“Every individual is gifted.
They just unwrap their gifts at different times.”
OVERVIEW OF PROCESS
What to expect?
A supportive journey from start to finish.
From our very first call, I’m here to make this journey smooth and supportive for the individual I support and their family. We’ll begin with an initial conversation to understand your goals, meet the learner, and set a plan in motion. Before sessions even start, I’ll take the time to gather insights and build a strong, trusting relationship.
Each session is an opportunity to connect, reflect, and grow—together, we’ll set meaningful goals, track progress, and build essential skills in a safe, encouraging space. In between sessions, I stay in touch to offer support, troubleshoot challenges, and keep the momentum going.
And when it’s time to wrap up, we’ll look back on how far we’ve come, celebrate the wins, and make a plan to carry that progress forward. It’s a full-circle approach designed to empower each individual every step of the way.

Her ability to accurately assess his situation, understand his cognitive and physical needs, his emotional limitations and effectively implement appropriate supports wrapped in humor and warmth - lending itself to a comfortable teachable moment is like watching a flower bloom."
